Gobble In Delight: Kid Approved Turkey Dinner

Sometimes Thanksgiving can become overwhelming with family over, in-laws to impress, a huge dinner to cook, and on top of all that, kids to entertain all day. Well don't worry, we have a few tips and tricks that are sure keep your little ones gobbling in delight all day long.

Our first tip is to get rid of the idea that Thanksgiving has to be this fancy picture perfect dinner that is set with your most beautiful china, crystal glass, and favorite tablecloth. Sometimes that just isn't realistic when you have little ones. Things are going to break, your lovely tablecloth is bound to get a stain or two, and spills will happen. But that's alright, Thanksgiving is about the memories that you make together as a family. So learn to laugh when the gravy spills and relax when something accidentally gets burnt in the oven. Those memories will be the things that you look back on and smile about.

Okay, okay, we know, sometimes the adults just want a nice fancy dinner to themselves with candles, glass, things that can break, and wine all to themselves. We get it! I mean when else can you break out your stunning china from the cupboard? So we suggest creating a separate kids table, this way both the little ones and adults are in blissful heaven throughout dinner. And the best part is... you'll be the hero of the night for throwing such an amazing family friendly event!

We LOVE the idea of setting your kids table with these adorable creative Thanksgiving crafts. It's a great way to make the little ones feel special and excited about their seating arrangement. Sometimes kids don't like the idea of sitting away from their parents during dinner, especially when there are a lot of new people around. So this is the perfect way to get them on board with the whole kids versus adult table arrangement. Click here to see more images.

You know we love anything that gets our little ones creative juices flowing, so of course we had to include the idea of turning your kids table into an art table. Just bust out the parchment paper and art supplies to create instant fun for the the kiddos to enjoy for hours on end!

Do you have kids or have those little ones coming over who just can't seem to patiently wait for dinner? You would swear that they haven't eaten for days, when realistically it has just been few hours. We can't say we haven't had those same moments, where we just need to eat a little something before our hunger turn us into monsters ourselves. Oh trust us, we've been there and feel for those kids who breakdown in tears protesting that they are hungry. Well we have the most adorable solution that is sure to keep any child happily snacking in joy as they wait for the main course; disaster avoided!

Now it's time for the fun stuff! Here are a few of our favorite games and crafts that are guaranteed to keep the little ones entertained throughout the day. Sometimes just a little prep work will be well worth it, especially if it gives you a few hours of uninterrupted cook time throughout the day.

We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and we want to give everyone a huge thank you for all of your love and support. CIF has been a huge endeavor full of love and passion and we honestly couldn't have done it without you!
